In order to discover more about the experiences of the ANZACS at Gallipoli your task will require you to complete primary research on the topic, refer to a range of sources and utilise a number of Web 2.0 tools. Using this information, you are to complete 8 diary entries, documenting your experiences as an ANZAC at Gallipoli.
Follow the detailed step-by-step process, completing the activities along the way to increase your understanding of the conditions and experiences faced by the ANZACS. You may collaborate with other students to assess the quality of your answers.

1. Complete primary research of the topic, and complete the questions listed.
2. Complete your enlistment form
(resource provided by teacher, and located on the teachers page).
3. Locate Gallipoli on the map found on Process Page 1.
4. For lessons 2-7 complete the questions on the table provided by your teacher (also found on the teachers page). Then complete the corresponding source study questions to gain an understanding of the context of the sources used.
5. At the conclusion of lessons 2-8 a diary entry must be completed from the perspective of an Australian soldier. Each
entry should include elements consistent with the topic of that lesson. For example, lesson two is based on The Landing at Gallipoli, the Weather, and Terrain, and your diary entry should be consistent with this topic.
The next topics include the dug outs and conditions in the trenches, fighting and weaponry, food and water shortages, health and disease, relations with Turkish soldiers, mateship and bravery, and finally the evacuation.
6. Lesson 9 marks the conclusion of this WebQuest. A final diary entry should be completed before submission, along with a class discussion based on the knowledge gained from this WebQuest.
